Moreau and Rife did. This guy, if he is still alive, he can tell us more about all of this.”
“But why? What can we do about it?”
“IF we have parts and the drawings, and if we knew what we were doing, wouldn’t it be possible to rebuild the microscope and frequency generator? What if it is true that they discovered a way of curing diseases, including cancer?”
“Without drugs? I think we are both worldly enough to know that any cure not involving drugs leaves out the hospitals, the doctors, the research, the non-profit fund raising, insurance companies and, of course, the pharmaceutical companies that develop and make the drugs. What?“
“-Wait, you just answered our own questions. How could such an invention be allowed? There is probably too much money at stake involving too many people.”
“We don’t have the expertise to deal with this. I don’t know about you, but I can look at those parts and schematics all day, and not ever know what it is all about. We do not have any chance to delve into this or to even think about it-“
“-Not so. We must think about it. What if someone had a cure for paralysis and it was concealed and I suffered all my life unnecessarily? Think of the millions of people all over the world who die from cancer and other diseases, who probably can’t even afford the drugs or treatments prescribed. This is destiny; my destiny at least-I cannot limp away from here like nothing has happened. We have a Christian obligation to pursue it!,” she said adamantly.
Smiling and looking somewhat sheepish, Goldman said, “Oh, well, I guess that explains it for you but what about me?”
“OK, so I guess that means you are not Christian! Let me rephrase what I said: We have a Judeo-Christian obligation to see where all of this takes us. And thanks to Uncle Moreau, I have the time and money to do it. If you cannot help, I will understand.”
“If Rife was in danger, what do you think could happen to us?,” he asked.
“We can’t think about that, at least we can’t think about it now."
